Most recently all songs of the movie, Irudhi Suttru became instant chartbusters, and the most memorable song of the music album is Ey Sandakaara sung by Dhee. The songs Happy, Pogiren and Vaadi Raasathi from 36 Vayadhinile brought him to spotlight. Aranmanai 2, Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam, 144, Oru Naal Koothu etc are other noted works. Vivek hails from Chidambaram. He was born in the year 1985. Both his parents are lawyers. He completed Engineering and LLB course. He is a lawyer by profession though he doesn't get enough time to concentrate on to that profession right now. He has been inspired a lot by the poems of Vairamuthu which prompted him to start writing. He often uses words for lyrics quite usage in his native place Chidambaram. Tamil has never been his popular subject since his school days. It was his mother who introduced him to the poems of Vairamuthu to develop his language skills and to prepare for Tamil speech competitions. Though he has read a lot of Vairamuthu works, Thanneer Desam is the single book he read completely. Once he met the poet and he encouraged Vivek seeing his interest in literature. Later Vivek sent one poem – dedicated to mother, to the renowned poet, which was well appreciated by Vairamuthu. His first break to films happened in 2015, where he got opportunity to pen lyrics for two songs composed by Santhosh Narayanan. Thus he penned lyrics for the songs - Poo Avizhum Pozhudhil and Yaar for the film, Enakkul Oruvan. It was followed by the melodious songs of 36 Vayadhinile. Since then he has been directors and musicians' popular choice as a lyricist. Vivek wants to explore different subjects, not just love songs. Lyricist Vivek has penned a bonus song for Thalapathy Vijay's magician character in Mersal. After watching the rushes, both AR Rahman and Vivek worked on a song, which will be used as the background track in the film. "I hav penned a Short Song as part of d background score for the Magician.Tried something unique. Have applied d concept of Magic in 2 lyrics (sic)", posted lyricist Vivek on Twitter. Meanwhile, the final verdict on the title controversy case of Mersal is expected to be out today.
